Our History in Brief
Goes back to 1998 from a group of believers to an established Church
The Kunduchi Seventh-day Adventist Church traces its origins to 1998 when a small group began meeting in the home of the late Raphael Makenya under the auspices of Tegeta Seventh-day Adventist Church. After three years of home fellowship, the congregation took a significant step in 2002 by acquiring its current plot in Kunduchi, where members erected a simple yet functional structure with metal framing and brick walls. This humble beginning laid the foundation for what would become a thriving spiritual community. The 2013 renovations marked an important milestone, modernizing the facilities to serve the growing congregation, which has since blossomed to over 400 members.

Church Construction
Founded in 1998, Kunduchi Beach Seventh-day Adventist Church as a small group meeting in a simple metal-and-brick structure, which was renovated in 2013 during the global celebration of 150 years of Seventh-day Adventist mission to accommodate 150 worshippers. However, with membership growing rapidly from 150 in the 2010s to over 400 today, the current facility has become inadequate, forcing many members to worship outside where they face discomfort and frequent disruptions during rainy seasons. To address these challenges, the church has launched an expansion project to construct a new 700-seat worship center with dedicated office spaces at an estimated cost exceeding $400,000, ensuring sustainable facilities for the growing congregation’s future needs.
